Audio Character Michael Rosen: We'Re Going On A Bear Hunt

Lost the charm and repetition of the story. Also mentions “going on a poo-poo hunt” which is unnecessary and something I would not want my children to repeat. Extremely disappointed.

Really happy with the bear, it’s longer than the og book, same story as the channel 4 short film but with Michael Ronsen narrating as well. Very happy little boy.

Completely agree with the negative reviews, this is unusable for my toddler who loves the Bear Hunt book! There needs to be some indication on the pack what it is. I bought it in store at the entertainer and have opened/used it now so can't return it.

Just like the PBS special, which my toddler loves!! Wish you could skip the sections of the bear hunt insead of only having 3 chapters/skips. Would keep my child entertained on end!!!

If you’ve watched the mini-film, then you’ll know what to expect from the Tonie, as it follows the film narrative rather than the book. We love it, because the enhanced storytelling paints a much better picture in the imagination, instead of just the book version. Extra sound effects (not too loud, very soft), more narrative, and a more enjoyable experience. My child loves the book, short film and the tonie. If you’re unsure about purchasing, watch the mini-film first, then decide.

One of my favorite children's stories. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it wasn't a read aloud of the original work but the audio of an animated adaptation... It doesn't work for my need of being paired with the physical book in my TK classroom. So disappointing.

Very different from book and bizarrely doesn’t include the performance song. No doubt Customer Service will say there’s a sample on the website and we could have listened to this while still in the packaging, but honestly just change the packaging so your customers have a realistic chance to make sure they are happy while still having the option for a refund.

Not like the book at all. They should have included just the song as a track since most toddlers know that. Very disappointing.

Wonderful storytelling. Really adds to the imagination of the children's book. Don't expect to be reading along with the story though as it is an extended version.

We bought this for my 2 year old and he absolutely loves it! We have the book as well that he will read along with it! It’s helped teach him to express feeling sad too because of the bear at the end!

I don’t think this is a good representation of the actual story. There’s an underline message about grief in it which I don’t mind, but isn’t what the book isn’t about. There is also mention of ‘we’re going on a poo hunt’ and i don’t understand the point or why it’s included.

It was a slow start and at first I couldn’t get her to keep the bear on her tonies box, but once she heard them say they were going on a bear hunt she was excited because she heard that part before and was going through the house saying she was going on a bear hunt.

We LOVE We’re Going in a Bear Hunt in our home, so buying this lively adaptation based on the 2016 animated version was a no-brainer. Delightful score by composer Stuart Hancock, Michael Rosen does the narrating, a beautifully crafted figurine, and it’s an engaging listen!

I bought this for my son as they are doing this book for world book day. This Tonie sounds like it is a movie. Almost as if there was ‘we’re going on a bear hunt’ movie on but you just can’t see the screen. The extra sounds like the tv ; wind and birds et etc etc really add to the book. If you shut your eyes you can really picture the scene. Yes it doesn’t follow the book verbatim however - I think this is one of the best children books to tonies there is. Perfect for bedtime and it feels more exciting than if narrator was just reading the book. Love it.

Very disappointed in this one. Took an engaging upbeat book and made a slow drawn out story that meanders into a bunch of boring details.
