This is the best car seat, it is very comfortable, secure and you can take it on the road for a long ride with your baby, because it is padded really good and soft.without the baby crying , on like other car seat. I 100 percent recommend this car seat. If you have kids please go get yours now!!

Very pleased with this car seat overall. Easy to install and use. Felt a bit bulky moving in and out, but that large comes from the fact that it is an "all-in-one" model. Thrilled with this car seat and will use it for many years!

This is a very nice car seat. The seat itself is a really nice padded cushion. You can tell it is better made than the average car seat. It is sturdy, nice material, and overall a quality made car seat. I also like the light tan coloring.

When considering the first car seat, I never considered the many vehicles it would be in. Is the seat bottom flat or angled? Does the seat back recline or is it in a fixed position? How will it be secured while in the car? How does all this pertain to the Magellan? After our 2yo Magellan was in a significant accident, the car seat search began. We looked at all different brands from low-end to high-end for the right fit. I drive different company vehicles and am installing/uninstalling the seat 4-5 days a week. So, I need something easy to install and uninstall quickly. The Magellan is on the larger side of seats and weighs about 25lbs. In rear facing, the adjustable back saves space compared to a fixed convertible back. We used the Magellan in my wife's vehicle to keep the front seat back further when in rear facing. The Magellan multi-position base adapts to different seat positions making it easy to install in a multitude of different vehicles. The latch system is easy to clip/unclip. The rear facing and forwarding facing seat belt paths are easy to guide the seat belt through and the added lock off notches keep the belt secure. An issue with the old Magellan was the base was wide and it was tough to get a flat, level mount. With this new Magellan, the base is more narrow than the old base and now sits inside the contour of the seats for a flat mount. This allows for a more consistent and tighter install. The spring assist harness is nice improvement over the old and easy to get the child in and out. All in all, I stayed with the Magellan after a car accident because I know my child is safe and it is the best laid out car seat for my lifestyle. Not to mention, Maxi-Cosi's parent company, Dorel, employs a great customer service team that knows how to treat customers with respect and empathy!

This car seat checks off all the boxes in terms of safety, comfort, and easy installation. My daughter looks extremely comfortable in it, and I feel safe with the secure 5 point harness. It's appealing to the eye and I love the cream color and how it blends with my seats. When it comes to superior quality, comfort, design and safety this is it! Everything from the quality of the fabric and functionality of this car seat is impressive. It is definitely on the high end of car seats. I like that it can be used from newborn of 5lbs and up until 100lbs. Well worth the price for the quality that you get. It is fully adjustable and reclines easily with the push of buttons to size and needs as baby grows. It has 2 cup holders that can be easily removed for cleaning. The harness is sturdy and has a nice padding that is nice to have and easy to use or adjust. The fabric with no flame retardant chemicals is so important to me and is something that is hard to find these days. I would recommend this seat to anyone who's looking to have a quality car seat through various stages of their child's life.

This car seat is so cool that it can be adjusted to different positions and heights. My 4 year old and 9 year old can share it without any problems. It also comes with infant inserts which will be perfect for my youngest one. The material is cool to touch and seems easy to clean. There are a lot of details like removable cup holders and strap covers. The design and the color looks very nice and premium!

Never have I been so jealous of my baby until now. THe seat is so comfortable, every part of her tiny body is protected. Cushions can easily be removed as the child ages.

We are very experienced with car seats. We've owned two Prias in the past and have loved then up until they were recalled. We thought we'd try to upgrade for our 2 year old who is fear facing with the Magaellan and honestly I'm extremely disappointed. It wasn't very tricky to instal which was a pro but other than that I wish we'd gone with something else. It's not very comfortable and aside from being quite large the actual seat is very snugged. Even after adjusting, the crotch buckle is our biggest concern. It sits far too low. Again we've owned plenty of car seat and have never had one laying this low. Our pediatrician suggest we'd get rid of it due to crotch buckle. I'd definitely suggest looking for another car seat!

I use this car seat for my 5-year-old who is forward-facing. The pros: She loves that it sits her up very high in the car and she "can see everything" as we drive. She says it's comfortable and cool on her back. We love that the harness doesn't get stuck behind her when she sits in it, so it's not a battle to get the straps out from behind her and under her bottom after she sits down. The cons: It's a little awkward for her because of the required recline angle so her legs kind of stick up in the air and make it hard to fit her behind the driver's side. Because it has a no-rethread harness, we had hoped to use this for our 1.5-year-old rear-facing toddler in a pinch as well, but the seat cannot quickly or easily be switched on the fly from forward-facing to rear-facing.

When I first opened the car seat I was really impressed. It definitely looks and feels like a luxury car seat- all the fabrics and materials are really nice. Install was easy with the auto-lock feature on the seat. However when installing for a forward facing child, it has some awkward recline rules. My son is 38 lbs, and under 40 pounds needs to be on recline 3. This is really reclined and barely fits in my car like this. My son is also not a huge fan of it being that reclined. Based on the manual rules once he hits 40 pounds he has to switch to recline 2. So this means I have to check his weight constantly to make sure the carseat is installed on the correct recline in case he has a growth spurt. It would be nice if there was some overlap allowed in the weight requirements of the two recline positions. I do really like how the strap covers keep the straps out of the way. Makes getting buckled in so much easier.

I initially had ordered the Pria which smelled like plastic when it arrived, despite washing 3 times and setting out in the sun multiple days it persisted. After 6 weeks the smell hadn't gone away so they sent me a Magellan. All that was fine, but now that my child has vomited in this seat is when it all comes down to figuring out how great of an invention this is. I'm here to tell you it's awful, there needs to be detailed videos showing how to disassemble and reassemble this seat. It's 2023, why is this not a given for a global (?) company of this size? Now that I have it stripped down and trying to put back together I'm pretty sure the belting isn't threaded correctly. No wonder I always thought it was kind of awkward coming from his hip. Do I have time to deal with this? No. Make a car seat so flipping hard to wash, what's the use in making it washable? That's one of the main reasons I went with this company! So frustrating. This is my 3rd child, I have plenty of experience with car seats, this one is made to where you cannot access the straps and it's all encased with plastic where so everything you may need to tweak is unreachable.

So easy to install. Love that it adjusts so much to fit out baby perfectly.

This is a fantastic car seat that will be used during all stages of my baby's journey! I love how well made it is and doesn't feel cheap! It is very sturdy and super comfy! The only downside for me is it is quite bulky but other than that it's perfect

I got this chair after my baby outgrew his infant one. I didn't want to go through buying multiple ones, so when I found the all-in-one I went for it. I love the color and quality of the material, it's quite heavy and sturdy so I feel my baby is safe and super comfortable!

My car has a tight back seat and this feels bigger than my other car seat. The buckle strap is a bit short for my 5 year old
