Pria Chill All-In-1 Car Seat Grey

i bought this and the light never came on and my airflow never even worked. reached out to maxi cosi and got no reply. the car seats really nice but i could’ve spent the same on a nuna had i known the ac wasn’t going to work.

We bought this a few months ago because our 2 year old was having heat issues in a normal car seat in the southern US. The Pria Chill was an instant night and day difference in comfort for our daughter and she went on and on about how “this seat keeps me cool”. She complains when she’s in another car seat now. The only complaint I have this that you can’t turn the fan on manually, it only runs when the sensor thinks it should. Our little one runs hot and has asked several times for us to turn the fan on because she’s warm but the car seat hasn’t decided it’s warm enough to run the fan yet and we have to explain to her that we can’t control the fan. The on/off switch in the power cable is only to turn the system on or off, not the fans themselves.

I have an 18 month old who always struggles with getting comfortable in his car seat and even in a five minute car ride would get hot and sweaty. Not anymore. The car seat was easy and straight forward to install. The wire routing is easy and can slip in-between the seats and the floor mat to stay out of the way. The fabric is very soft and provides ample cushion. My little one loves the car seat so far. I can't even hear when the fan activates but there is a light that indicates when it is on right above the headrest. Short or long rides have been a pleasure. He is so comfortable from the fan and cushion that he falls asleep within 5 minutes and sleeps for longer. I haven't had to clean the seat yet but the cup holders are removable and the fabric can be taken off and placed in the washer. I love that it will grow with him and can be front facing. Nothing more I can ask from a car seat than this! Will upgrade my wife's car seat to this one soon!

I love this car seat! What makes it so different than other car seats is that it has Vent Max Technology. Fans are built-in that as the temperature rises, they will cut on and keep your baby cool and comfortable. The material is breathable, allowing air to flow. This Vent Max technology is powered thru your vehicles power port. This is an all-in-one car seat, the only one you will ever need. Fits babies from 4 lbs. up to 100 lbs. Definitely the best car seat that I have ever owned!

My overall impression of the car seat was very positive. I initially had some trouble locating where the power adapter attaches to the back of the car seat. Since my child is currently rear facing I didn't have any trouble routing the power cord. Unfortunately, since receiving the car seat the weather has been too cold to use the fan feature, but I am definitely looking forward to having a cool car seat in the summertime. Installing the car seat into the car was definitely more challenging than other car seats I have installed. My two favorite things about this car seat are the magnetic latch on the top harness and that it can go from rear-facing to forward facing as my child gets older. I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review. We received this car seat during the first week of December, and we live in Phoenix, Arizona. My daughter is almost 2, and I drive a small SUV. I mention all of that because I think one of the big draws of this car seat is the built in fans that it has. They are super quiet and a fantastic feature (today is December 7th, and it was an 80 degree day, so... yes please fans.). The cord is super long and easy to tie up. We threaded it up to my front dashand it stayed out of the way and tucked behind the passenger seat belt buckle without hassle. The switch ended up being right behind the passenger seat back, which makes it easy to reach in the back seat to toggle. I have a car that turns off the engine when it idles, and that made the fans turn off. Just FYI that they might not be consistently running if you are a momma that has to wait with your car parked in a school pick up line for an older kiddo. Really nice to see 2 cup holders and a lot of additional features to make baby comfortable. If we received this car seat when my daughter was an infant, it would have been really nice to use the extra padding that is provided for smaller babies -- way more removable pieces than other convertible car seats. A few cons that we did not enjoy when trying out this car seat: - the harness buckle across the chest is designed to be easier to manage (i think it has a magnet component), but it's actually a bit cumbersome to clip with a squirmy toddler. - the buckle part that's right between the legs gets covered by the padding really easily, so it's hard to get it to click since it slides around. - the cup holders are actually really small. They won't hold a 12 oz yeti bottle. - install is a PAIN. There is not a level, just a line that you're supposed make parallel to the seat. - pro and con on the padding; hard to get baby in unless the car door opening is huge.

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this all-in-one car seat. I loved the neutral stylish design and especially the comfort for my tall 3.5-year-old! I also really liked the magnetic chest clip because it's hard for my son to escape from! Also, I'm very picky about making sure I choose safe products for my kids and this one fits the bill. I received it in the cold northeast so haven't used the fan system yet but it's definitely a great feature for the warmer months! My son was so excited about the new car seat, and he said it was "comfy cozy". Toddlers are usually hard to please! It took a little while to install into my car, but it was easy enough for me to figure out. The cord wasn't in the way of anything either when I went to try it out. Looking forward to using this seat!

This Pria Chill Maxi-Cosi car seat has been wonderful! My little ones all seem to run hot and this built-in fan system has been a game changer. Even recently it's been unseasonably warm for us in November and December in our area and the cooling features have been great. I thought the fans might make the car seat extra bulky or oddly shaped, but that isn't the case at all. The installation into our car was straightforward and simple. There is the extra chord for the fans, but it wasn't hard to figure out where to plug-in and how to keep it out of the way. The fabric colors are neutral and nice. The materials feel really plush, which makes me feel better since my baby is sleeping in it so often while carting him around with older siblings. I love that the fabric is safe for him to be breathing near, since it's free from flame-retardant chemicals. The cup holders that are removable to be washed in the dishwasher is also so thoughtful and helpful for sticky messes. Having been through a few different seats with three kids, this one has all the features. Just wish we had it for baby #1! We are so glad we received this carseat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Our toddler has constantly been complaining that she's too hot or cold. No more! I haven't heard a peep from her since we got this car seat. When I discovered the fans were only automatic, I thought there would still be complaints, but none so far. I love this seat. It's plush, comfy, and easy to get in and out of. The fabric is machine washable, and our little continues to say that this is the comfiest seat she's ever felt. The magnetic buckle is also amazing - quick and out of the way when getting in and out. The cup holders also come out and are dishwasher-safe. It's quick to install/uninstall using the LATCH system, though if you're moving seats around, you have to unthread the fan cord, too. I was worried the cord wouldn't be long enough because we need to plug it in in the front, but it was plenty long. The cord is under the floor mats, and it's easy to disconnect in the front. This has been helpful since the switch on the seat is hard to reach in forward-facing mode. The indicator light at the top of the seat is super helpful; it's easy to see from the rearview mirror yet not bothersome for tired kids in the back (though maybe red would have been a better choice than blue for night). It's been a good indicator for me to turn down the air when it comes on. We are using this seat in forward-facing mode, though I have to say, I think this is the first convertible car seat I would consider using for an infant. The inserts provided, coupled with the magnetic buckle that stays out of the way when putting a baby in, really make this an ideal choice if you are using a convertible seat with a baby. The only major downside is that we can only use this car seat for one child due to the 12V connector. I would also still like the option to manually turn on the fans even though I haven't needed to yet. I was given this car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, though if a future version has a rechargeable battery option, I will be purchasing more!

My first impression of the car seat was that it was very comfortable looking, and quite large. I drive a small compact car and was worried it wouldn't fit, but it fits just fine! I was so excited for the fan system the car seat had, as my child runs extremely warm and often is hot in the car- no matter the season. It has been so nice to have on while the heat is on in the car, knowing that she is cool but the car itself is warm for her. I know the summer will be great to have this feature as well. The fabric and cushion of this car seat is so comfortable feeling and breathable, you can tell just by the touch of it. I can tell my daughter is comfortable sitting in it, while still secure and safe. The seat was extremely easy to install, the virtual appointment is an added bonus to make sure you have everything correct, and the cord for the fan is easily accessible. When the seat is forward facing , the cord may be harder to get to, but as a rear facing seat, it works just fine. I'm so glad my daughter will have this seat for all stages of her growth. Overall I just love the look of this car seat, the safety of it all, and the added bonus that my daughter is more than comfortable.

Straight out of the box, I immediately noticed that it looks so comfy! The sides, bottom, and even the buckle straps have nice quality padding added to them. I was impressed that additional padding was included for the middle buckle which seems like quite an improvement on comfort. The padding and fabric are excellent breathable quality and what I'd expect in a top-of-the-line design! The installation of the seat was easy and pretty standard in terms of connecting the anchors. It's important to read and follow the seat's manual though since there are so many different configurations as an all-in-one seat! I was surprised to learn that this seat accommodates from 4lbs up to 100lbs/10 years old so it's nice knowing we can use this for a long time! This seat is also equipped with incredible new technology of a cooling system! The cooling fan is actually very quiet. I anticipate that the cooling feature will be handy during our long road trips and hotter summer months. In order to use the cooling feature, it requires a small auxiliary cord that connects from the back of the car seat into 12V power source. The cord was a bit awkward to have stretching across the car but it's long enough to tuck along the side of the car seat to keep out of the way. The seat includes harness holders so I don't have to dig around looking for the buckles. The magnetic chest clip is easy to buckle but has taken some practice for unbuckling and I'm still not sure I like it yet. I know other toddler parents can also appreciate that the dual cupholders can be removed and put into the dishwasher for cleaning. Overall, I've been impressed with this seat! I want to thank Stellar Product Testing for giving me this amazing opportunity to receive and try this car seat as part of their product testing panel! This review has been my personal experience and I would absolutely recommend this seat to other parents!

I am SO SO happy with this carseat! The quality is amazing and it is extremely durable! Installation is pretty easy too and doesn't take too long! It is super comfortable for your baby too! My daughter LOVES it and asks to go on drives so she can be in it! The cooling fans are amazing too! They really do keep baby's temperature at a decent level so they don't overheat! The fans are pretty quiet too which is really nice. The straps on the carseat are easy to adjust and don't tangle easily. The magnetic chest clip is a lifesaver too! And the strap holders are very nice to have! Cleaning the seat is simple too and it is washable. I love that this is an all in one seat and I won't have to get any other seat for my girl as she gets bigger! I HIGHLY recommend you get this seat! Your baby will love it!!

I would recommend this car seat to anyone living in a warm climate, especially if they drive a car without air vents in the back. I have such peace of mind knowing my son is safe and comfortable in the Maxi-Cosi Pria Chill. We recently took a long road trip to the beach and it was so nice not having to worry about the baby getting too hot in the car. I will say that the seat was initially difficult to install, but moving it to a different car later was a breeze. Be aware that during long road trips the ventilation system can be loud when automatically turning on-off. Overall, I would recommend this car seat and am grateful for having been given the opportunity to test it out myself.

The Maxi-Cosi Pria Chill car seat is a great option if you live somewhere that gets hot! The breathable, chemical flame retardant free fabric is lovely, and the fans combined with the mesh really keep kiddo cooler in the car. Fans are automatic, but you can turn off the feature with a switch too. I prefer this seat for a larger baby despite it saying it can fit 4lbs and up. For an infant I found that the infant insert pads slide down and make it difficult to tighten the straps properly. The chest clip is also quite oversized for a small infant. The seat is also tricky to angle properly for a newborn and makes install tough. For a larger baby the magnetic easy in-out chest clip is awesome, as are the strap holders. The removable dishwasher safe cup holders are amazing and the seat is easy to clean overall. It looks really nice in the car, but is a better fit for a larger vehicle. Overall I really like this seat for ease of use, especially for toddlers-preschool age kids. I would personally look at something else if you want a single birth through booster seat, or drive a compact car.

Upscale seat with all the bells and whistles, to last you from birth to by-myself-buckling! The luxury, convenience, and safety of the added cooling fans makes this a standout car seat. Would recommend! We love the quality fabrics and the size/angle of the seat for my 99th percentile daughter. My 4 year old relishes the cooling fans in the summer, and she has started falling asleep in the car again, which is a game changer for us all.
