Mothers everyday: Susan's story

Mothers everyday: Susan's story

In celebration of Mother's Day, we invited our team members to share what 'mum' means to them. In this article, one of our store team members, Susan, tells us how motherhood has shaped her over time as she navigates each new phase of life with her children.

"No one person or 1000 books can prepare you for the rollercoaster ride of being a mum or parent. It’s emotionally and physically exhausting at times but also be very rewarding when you look back and realise — you did it the best way you could, learning and growing as a person along the way.

"I always think you learn and practice with your first baby, tweak the lessons you learnt for your second and hopefully have it down pat by your last baby — in my case the fourth!

"But each one is so very different and now that my youngest is nearly 20 I'm looking forward to being a grandparent and watching my children start out on the same journey of discovery. The same way I enjoy watching our customers come into a Baby Bunting store, full of excitement and trepidation."
