Mothers everyday: Stacey's story

Mothers everyday: Stacey's story

In celebration of Mother's Day, we invited our team members to share what 'mum' means to them. In this article, our Loyalty Operations Coordinator Stacey tells us about her own experience as a mother to teenagers.

Nothing can quite prepare you for what motherhood will look or feel like.

For me, as I navigate the teenage years, the most important factor I have come to learn parenting my son and daughter, is the importance of open and honest communication.

It is so important to me that they know that no matter what, good or bad, they can come to me and I will be there.

I also feel the biggest gift a mother can give her kids is to understand that they may not always go in the direction we would like, but providing a safe space where they can be who they were born to be and feel fully supported is what matters most.

Nothing makes me prouder than seeing my kids navigate the ups and downs of life and the resilience and determination they both show.
