Feeding Contact Nipple Shield Large

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Breastfeeding became much more comfortable after using the Medela Contact Nipple Shields. They helped protect sore nipples while still allowing my baby to latch well during feeds. The soft silicone feels gentle, and they're easy to clean and reuse. I appreciated having them during the early weeks when feeding was more challenging. They gave me the confidence to continue breastfeeding and made a noticeable difference.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recieved these from my lactation consult and I must say if you are looking for a nipple shield these are by far the best on the market. However the stick will begin to fade with time as you need to constantly clean them and the baby gets used to the shield which can make it VERY difficult to transition them back to regular breastfeeding. Just biggest tip is to make sure the sizing fit you right!

Baby took to them straight away with no issues. Unfortunately I had to pivot from breastfeeding to pumping to monitor intake but I’m happy that I was able to breastfeed my lo albeit for a short time

I had a feeling I wasn’t gonna be able to breastfeed due to my nipple shape and my midwife put me onto these and they have solved all my problems. I cannot recommend these enough to mums they help the baby latch as well as protect the nipples from cracking and drying out. I’m so glad I found these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These nipple shields were a lifesaver when I first came home from hospital, as I was having difficulties getting baby to latch properly. Although, I did find that they would often come off and not stay in my nipples properly, despite being the correct size. This lead to milk going everywhere and was always messy. I used the shields for about 2 weeks and removing them had been great, but now I struggle getting baby to latch deep enough, as she is so use to just hopping onto the shield. I’d still recommend if you are having troubles because they do help a lot!

Didn’t help at all with my wife’s breastfeeding. She started bleeding after using it, and we didn’t realise the baby was feeding on the blood.

They fit over my nipple nicely but unfortunately my baby refused to feed while I was wearing them. I had to give up as he was getting upset. I think because my milk supply is low and these slowed it down he just wasn't getting anywhere near enough milk.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you’re experiencing a lot of nipple pain when latching seriously TRY THESE! I was about to give up breastfeeding due to excruciating pain from cracked and bleeding nipples, until a friend recommended these shields to me. I’d never even heard of nipple shields before. They allowed me to continue BF without the pain and over a couple of days my skin was able to fully heal. My baby is still able to achieve a full deep latch with no problems whatsoever, the flow from the shields is excellent, they’re super thin and easy to apply, and they’ve honestly just made breastfeeding feel like an enjoyable experience again. Just an absolute game changer and I wish I knew about them for my first baby. I’m going to continue to use them for the foreseeable future!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Medela Contact Nipple shields were a great addition to my breastfeeding journey, however my baby is very fussy so we didn’t use them for long. I can see these being very beneficial for others, unfortunately it didn’t work out for me and my fussy baby. I think if I introduced these earlier in my breastfeeding journey it may have worked better for me.
