Maxi Cosi Emme 360° Rotating All-In-1 Convertible Car Seat Midnight Black

We LOVE the thoughtful design of all 8 of our Maxi Cosi car seats that we have had over the years... BUT... For the arrival of our 4th baby we got two of the Emme seats and I was so excited to have a rotating car seat. However, my by brand new 4 week old baby has his hands and wrists scraped to the point of bleeding each time he is in these seats from the sharp edges of the velcro on the chest strap covers. For the longest time I couldn't figure out what was cutting him up - because who expects the car seat to cause that?!? Once we figured it out, we tried everything to remove the sharp edges, but I can't cut the sharp parts down since it is so close to the seam. Now my baby has long socks over his hands and arms in order to safely ride in his seat. For such an expensive seat, I expected better Human Factors engineering. I would rate the rest of this seat a 10/10, but this one issue caused injury and bleeding to my newborn. A simple design change to the same "Out-Of-The-Way" strap covers as the other Pria Max and Magellen Max seats would make a big difference. Also use snaps instead of velcro! That would make a world of difference.

Easy to install. And comfortable for our baby. Plus it’s easy to rotate. Some reviews said it digs into the thighs of the baby but we don’t have that issue at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased our daughter one just in time for our road trips, she loves this seat. It’s easy to clean and we love the 360 rotation feature. This seat was one of my favorite investments.

I really wanted to love this, but unfortunately, it just doesn't meet expectations. It doesn't function as it should — the rotation feature barely works and it often gets stuck. My son also complains that the buckle hurts his legs, which he’s never mentioned with his Nuna car seats. I’m so disappointed that I’m planning to give this one away and replace it with a Nuna.

This car seat it too hard to use. It’s hard to pull the seat belt tight around my child. Like I have to use too much strength. It’s hard to actually turn it and get the seat to lock in place.

I bought this a month after my son turned 1. He was in the 50th percentile and it worked perfectly for us! we had no issues with the straps or positioning, he sleeps comfortably in it and now that he's 2 years and 6 months old he's learning how to help me buckle himself in, even gets upset if I pretend to forget to buckle him up. The magnetic harness has given him the ability to learn how to buckle up. and he loves that his cups actually fit in the cup holders 90% of the time. Sometimes gets stuck when trying to turn him but it's helped out so much with my back pain and fits in most cars I've used it in, there was really only one car it didn't fit in with him rear facing (keep in mind I'm short so I have my knees touching my dash in order to reach pedals, my family who likes to sit back/tall cannot rear face him.)

The clips are so chunky and not placed right, just a fidgety seat and not easy at all.

Booked a car seat installation with Simone and we absolutely loved her she took her time and gave the perfect car seats options which accommodated our all the needs.we must have literally tried 5-6 different car seat and she never made us feel like we are a bother or counter see her annoyed by our requests. She has vast knowledge and we Highly recommend her. For the next we will be surely seeing her again. Totally worth the money.

Received as a gift and unfortunately it will not work for us. The buckle straps are way too tight for my thick thighs baby. Really wanted to love it.

Easy, and worth my money im buying a second one for my husband!

The seat looks great and the installation is easy (takes like 5 minutes). We have a 1 year old. Our primary car seat is the cybex callisto which we love. We would have loved this one too if its wasnt for the buckle design, just like some of the other reviews here the buckle digs in to our kids thighs and we have adjust it's as much as we could and the products allows us to. It's just the design is bad. I wish they can offer a replacement for this part or somehow fix it. We do really love how the seat looks.

We’ve had this car seat for a little over 6 months and it is the possibly the worst 360 car seat on the market. If I could give it 0 stars, I would.The straps are constantly becoming twisted practically out of nowhere which will cause a malfunction in a wreck. The straps will not tighten as tight as they need to be to safely secure my child. And lastly, the base does not stay secure, moving and becoming a safety issue. This car seat is totally unsafe for children and we will no longer be using this brand.

Was given this seat about a year ago by my daughter to haul one new grandchild. Very heavy and difficult to install. A very clumsy and awkward experience. Seems tight once installed. Use is a nightmare. The handle to release the seat is difficult to reach, on the base under the seat. Requires you to squeeze with your thumb. Very difficult to release the seat to rotate. Impossible if you have low grip strength like myself. Currently the seat is non functional since I released to rotate and now is jammed and won't turn to lock into position. Have used Graco and other brands that are easy to operate. This seat is the worst I have ever used.

Purchased this exactly a year ago. Upon receiving the car seat it had several holes in the fabric. Luckily I contacted the company and they sent me new fabric covers! The past year we have not loved this car seat as the straps are ALWAYS tangling and extremely annoying to use. We have not been able to use the car seat for over two months due to it not locking in place now. I have emailed the company and even sent videos with no response. If I could advise anyone it would be to for sure spend your money on a different brand.
