Bad design in general
|
by LeSec
Massive desgin flaws. Bottles remains wet after each use. The design of the trays just put water everywhere. There's no gutter in any of the compartments so there's always water spiling everywhere when you open the thing up. Really poorly designed and definitely not worth buying this model. Look for other ones.

Philips Steam Steriliser
|
by Shanise
It sterilizes everything in just 6 minutes with the press of a button, no chemicals, just steam, which gives me real peace of mind. The adjustable size is such a handy feature. You can shrink it down for just soothers or open it right up for six bottles plus all the extras, and it doesn't hog counter space. Contents stay sterile for up to 24 hours as long as you keep the lid on, which is super convenient for planning ahead. The one thing to be aware of is that opening the lid can send water dripping everywhere, so just go in prepared with a cloth nearby. Also worth noting, this model doesn't have a built-in dryer, so bottles do come out wet. Not a dealbreaker, but worth knowing before you buy!

Great steriliser
|
by Aurelius13
Great steriliser, very easy to use. Love how many things I can sterilise at once and it only takes 10min. Really useful for all the baby bottles and pumps.
Didn’t give 5 stars as water goes everywhere when you lift the lid and from the bottom compartment…soaked myself and floor multiple times. Also, the heating pad gets burn marks.

Useless device in terms of value for money and what's the point of making one without drying option in the first place

I hate it terrible. It Worked great the first couple of weeks but now doesn’t work properly, there is water left once it’s finished, you click it on and it doesn’t do the full cycle. Followed all the directions to maintain it properly but just doesn’t work. Having to take it back and get a refund. This brand is supposed to be good.

Not worth the cheaper cost without the dryer
|
by Nicholas
On the positive size, incredibly easy to use and likely the use of steam does not as much of an affect the shelf life of sterilized plastics compared to UV sterilizers (plastics like polyethylene tend to degrade under UV over time). Incredibly fast turnaround time with 10 minutes as well. Fits six bottle at once.
However, everything is sopping wet afterwards due to the lack of the drying function, which often creates a mess when trying to retrieve sterilized bottles from inside. The moment that the lid is opened, the sterile nature of everything inside becomes dubious, so any flexibility from the short sterilization time is hampered by the need to plan around potentially exposing everything to a non-sterile environment.

Terrible steriliser

by Ozzi
Honestly it’s not the best steriliser. After using it for a week it started to burn the plate part, and it gives a burning smell. I wouldn’t recommend this product at all it’s terrible!

Quick, Reliable, and a Must-Have for Busy Parents
|
by Kopika
The Philips Avent Electric Steam Steriliser SCF291/00 has made sterilising bottles and baby accessories so easy and stress-free. It’s very simple to use — just add water, load the items, and it sterilises everything in just a few minutes. I love that it kills 99.9% of germs without using any chemicals, giving me peace of mind about my baby’s health. It fits multiple bottles and accessories at once, saving me so much time. The compact design doesn’t take up much space on my kitchen counter either. I highly recommend this to any new parent looking for a fast, efficient sterilising solution!

Absolutely Horrible

by Sienna18
Leaves the worst water spillage every single time. Have followed correct instructions and still water turns brown and has left burnt marks. Seems many people experience the same issue after reading reviews throughly. Do not recommend. Definitely a manufacturing error.

I brought this thinking I wouldn’t need the drying function. The design has water sit need to pull it apart and dry it completely after every use I find if you don’t use the bottles straight away it’s just a puddle pulling apart to clean water goes everywhere and it’s just a pain. I’ll be buying a new one with a drying function for convenience

I cannot recommend this product enough!
As someone who used to design medical sterilises, I did a lot of comparison with other products. This product expels because of:
1-drying feature: the product claims goods are kept sanitised until the lid is open. Microbio will grow on moist surfaces. Therefore, it is key to have dry goods when opening the lid.
2-sterilisation method: this product is a steam. I really do not buy into products that claim sterilisation with UV. Please avoid these for your children. UV process is heavily limited by distance to the UV light source. I do not believe that UV light will penetrate in any meaningful way around crevices.
3-steam penetration: the product is designed in a way that allows the steam to easily flow between layers.

Good but wouldn’t recommend
|
by Mads24
Was gifted this product at my baby shower, it works good but by not having the drying function the bottles are left wet and sometimes don’t dry in time to use so have to re-sterilize them. Quite inconvenient and if I had’ve known this before opening I would’ve exchanged. Would not recommend this to anyone. Should be a simple task, instead you are left with more work to do.
